A parent has to plan for what happens when they can no longer serve as caregiver. A custody arrangement needs to change because of a child's care needs. Okonkwo Law LLC represents these families across that full arc, so they have one lawyer who already knows their situation instead of a new referral every time a new issue appears. Core services include:

• Special needs trusts (first-party and third-party) and ABLE Illinois account planning

• Guardianship of minors and adults with disabilities, including successor guardian planning

• Special education advocacy: IEP and 504 plan disputes, ISBE due process matters

• Family law matters connected to a family member's disability: custody and parenting plan modifications, guardianship disputes among family members
